Madame Edwarda by George Bataille
- Not very good. Has some decent poetry but Bataille sounds hysterical and way too emotional. The whole whore = God thing is tiresome. Not really worth reading, though it does have some excellent lines.

My Mother by Georges Bataille
- Has a few good moments but mostly way overstated. Bataille's philosophy is interesting but he's too desperate to state it in his fiction, usually, so it comes across as ham-fisted, overdone, etc. None of his fiction so far holds up against Story of the Eye. Still, it has some good moments.

The Dead Man by Georges Bataille
- Pretty awful and worthless. Nice to at least observe Bataille's prose in third person but other than that, a useless text.
